Staying focused on success
A new opportunity could be scary. There are so many ways to make it fall apart. One of them is overthinking. Overthinking is the opposite of helpful in many cases. If you have had some successes in life, why should you think it is not possible to continue along that path? On a daily basis, you can go through different successes and failures on a variety of levels.
The fact that you are challenging yourself to try something you have never done, is something in itself to be proud of. Feel good about it. If you don’t take the first step which is allowing yourself to feel out a situation and see if there is a possibility, that is an automatic failure.
You may think, is it worth trying if after step one it may not work out? There is only way to find out if you can get to step two, and then step three. If your intention is to just do your best and nothing more or less, let that be your focus. There has to be some logic to your choices. Taking a big risk is not planning well. That is not setting yourself up for success.
The bottom line is that in order to be successful, you need to be open and okay with the possibility of failure. And then you need to do everything in your power to make it work!
